Hi users, I have some announcements to make. Today we decided to turn the chat off because of various reasons:
- Our team is not large enough yet to provide chat mods 24/7.
- Our chat policies are still in development.
- Users abused the chat and broke almost every rule of the default policy.
- The chat is rather disturbing than functional. Currently communication happens through the message walls of users and the forum. Due to the current amplitude of the team there's no reason to change this at the moment.
This will not mean the chat is gone forever. We only set some limits to it to keep it under control:
- The chat will only be activated on announcement events or randomly when chatmods are up for it.
- Abuse of active policies during an active chat event can lead to a chat ban or even a wiki ban if grievious.
